Absolutely not. Taking medications intended for veterinary use is never a good idea.
Natural remedies for intestinal parasites include garlic, goldenseal, black walnut, wormwood, pumpkin seeds, grapefruit seed extract, and intestinal cleansing through a high fiber, raw food fast.Human parasite cleansing with animal de-wormer?
Seeing that there are many ';dewormer'; type medications available for human use I would stay away from pet dewormers. Both ';natural'; medications and prescription drugs are available. . So If you feel you really need it go for the ones you know are safe for human use. The prescription drugs would be the best bet. You would need to be evaluated by a doctor first. The so called ';natural'; cures are of dubious value at best. Most are concoctions made for profit. The manufacturers of such ';drugs'; need not prove their effectiveness to the FDA only that they will do no harm.
your dog 's anti parasite dewormer may be containing albendazole or mebendazole ,which are used in humans also for deworming.dose of the dewormer is ment for the parasites and not on the host.albendazole is used as 400 mg at bed time as single dose.mebendazole is used as 100mg twice daily for three consequetive days.but you should always use preparations made for humans for hygenic reasons
The pharmaceuticals for parasite cleansing have been proven ineffective. They are also very hard on the liver and kidneys. I wouldn't touch the vet stuff either. You're way better off with the natural remedies. I recommend you look into it:
