Face Cleansing oils?

I'm looking to buying a face cleansing oil. They are really popular in Asian and is just beginning to emerge in North America. It's supposed to be the ';pre-cleanse'; to remove all the makeup before your normal cleanser.

Has anyone tried this? What do you think?Face Cleansing oils?
I've used cleansing oils for years and they are excellent at emulsifying makeup and sunblock, allowing everything to lift off the skin and rinse away. Cleansing oils from brands like Shu Uemura, DHC and Fancyl have surfectant/emulsifying ingredients that allow the oil and removed makeup to wash away easily. When water is added, it's incorporated into the oil base and allows a clean rinse with very little residue. Its at this point a normal face wash can be used, if desired. I use cleansing oils on my concealer brushes because it removes the oily makeup buildup faster and better than even dish detergent!

Straight oils (mineral/baby oil, jojoba) don't have surfectants/emulsifiers and it's more difficult to remove when water is added. Once you try to rinse you'll feel like your smearing the oil around all over the place and you'll be needing a wet washcloth to wipe off the residue. Some skintypes can handle this but for others the manual removal is irritating.

So bottom line is that cleansing oils are makeup removers and are meant to be used before your regular face wash. And cleansing oils will mix with water and rinse away while straight oils will continue to cling to the skin and need greater effort in removing them.Face Cleansing oils?
